Ol' Sarge was created by Howard Peter "Pete" Tumlinson, class of 1942, before enlisting to fight in WWII along with most of the rest of the class of '42.  After returning from the war, he continued to work on the Ol' Sarge comic strip for Battalion Humor Magazine before graduating in 1946 and moving to New York to work as a cartoonist for the New York Post and Marvel Comics.  This College Vault image was printed on shirts many years ago and is now available again here.  This one is printed on a gym shirt style cotton blend and made for 1876 Authentic by Original Retro Brand.
